What I'm currently doing
I lead web development at brro, run a mushroom project called PSBR, I handle comms and admin for architecture studio Heber Mata, and I’m working on a prosthetic running blade for my dog Lumo.
Regardless of the project, here's what I do:
As a creative problem-solver, I approach design by blending my artistic and technical skills. Whether it’s crafting intuitive software functions for websites, creating a fun brand with a unique product, or supporting an architectural project, design is about balancing aesthetics and practicality — always with an eye on the big picture.
Bringing ideas to life is where I find the most joy in work. Having had no formal training as either a programmer or engineer, I love the challenge of learning new tools and technologies to push my boundaries. This means I approach tasks in a truly creative way, leading to surprisingly good outcomes.
The famous quote from the ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus — “You cannot step into the same river twice, for it is not the same river, and you are not the same person.” — resonates deeply with how I approach improvement. Nothing is ever finished, and I never do things the same way twice. Simplicity is the ultimate goal, and I believe it’s both the hardest and most elegant goal to strive for.
